Governor of the Irkutsk Region Igor Kobzev at a meeting with Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko discussed the construction of new medical facilities in the region with federal support. This year, 20 million rubles were allocated for pre-project work on the construction of a hospital for the regional children's clinical hospital with 395 beds. Design will begin in 2023.

As for the polyclinic of the Irkutsk city hospital No. 1, its new building should be designed for a thousand visits per shift. An additional 319 million rubles for the installation of six outpatient clinics and the purchase of equipment for them will be received by the Irkutsk Region by September 1. This was announced by the head of the region Igor Kobzev at a meeting with the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.

At the meeting, they talked about healthcare facilities, the construction of which will be considered as part of the days of the Irkutsk region in the Federation Council in September 2022. According to the governor, in addition, the inclusion of tuberculosis and dermatovenereology dispensaries in Tulun into the federal targeted investment program for 2023 has already been supported. According to the program for 2024-2026, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation is ready to support the construction of the Bratsk Perinatal Center, the Regional Children's Clinical Hospital and Polyclinic No. 1 in Irkutsk.

Recall that the design work on the construction of the Bratsk perinatal center is planned to be completed before the end of the year. The new building will have several delivery rooms, six intensive care beds for newborns and women. The center will be equipped with modern equipment.

At the meeting between Mikhail Murashko and Igor Kobzev, positive results in the development of regional health care were noted. In particular, in the Baikal region, there is a decrease in both total and infant mortality.
